Firearms of multiple different calibers, and ammunition, are provided for you at no additional cost – you will receive training with both revolvers and semi-automatics, both single-action and double-action.

My courses are in the Fort Myers area. There are many value added
items in my course that are not found in others.

For example, my course is BOTH a Florida State Pistol Safety Course ( for
your Florida Concealed Carry Permit ), AND a
National Rifle Association Course. You receive TWO certificates of
training. The NRA Certificate is accepted in every state, and is the gold
standard worldwide.

Also, I have the lowest student-teacher ratio in the state. My maximum
class size is four persons. This makes for a better learning atmosphere and
comfort in asking questions.

There is no time limit to my course. I am not simply trying to get you in
and out in 2 hours. And you may contact me at any time after your training
with any additional questions.

I train you on eight different semi-automatics and revolvers of multiple
calibers. There are several reasons for this : it is a ‘ Training ‘ course,
not just a ‘ Shooting ‘ course. This is to your benefit. We will shoot a
minimum of 8 different guns, both revolvers and semi-automatics, both single
action and double action; and ranging in caliber from a .22, .380, .38
Special, .40, .45, and more. This helps you become familiar with the
differences in firearms. Most don’t allow this,
and the ones that do charge additional for a ‘ rental ‘ of just one gun. I
do not. It is a
good way to use different firearms to see what you like before you spend
0-00. You are welcome to bring your own firearms also.

I also do not do the gun show class of fire one shot and you are done. I
will not give that class. You will fire a minimum of 25 rounds in my
class – usually 50 or more.

My credentials exceed every other instructor in the State of Florida : I am
THE ONLY instructor in the State of Florida certified by Arizona, Tennessee,
Oklahoma, South Carolina, Kansas, and New Mexico. I am one of only two
instructors
certified by Louisiana, North Dakota, Massachusetts, and Utah. As such I
have had
thousands of hours of training all over the country and most training was
given by law enforcement. I am THE ONLY instructor IN THE ENTIRE UNITED
STATES that is certified to give courses by 26 different states. Please ask
me about the best combination of permits that will provide you with the most
coverage in the greatest number of states.

I have a business license in both Lee County, and the City of Fort Myers. I
am fully insured and bonded. ( if you do not select me as an instructor,
PLEASE verify the instructor you select is licensed and insured, and that he
is giving you an actual NRA course, and not just some course he made up -
you may possibly lose your CWP if he does ) I am incorporated in the State
of Florida.

I am the only instructor in all of South Florida that will train children.
I ALSO PROVIDE A FREE GUN LOCK TO EACH ATTENDEE.

Finally, I do not charge extra for additional services – I am a notary, and
will notarize your application here. I will take your passport photos here
( this is usually elsewhere ). For other states I will do your
fingerprints. The other instructors simply give you the class and send you
on your way. When you train with me we will fill out your paperwork
together, so it is filed right the first time.

There are just some things to consider when you are seeking an instructor.
There are some good ones out there, but always ask to see their verifiable
credentials. I am usually booked one
month in advance, due to the fact that I am the only one that teaches so
many different states and my small class size.

Currently I am two weeks lead time on scheduling. I charge 5 for the
Florida class, and 5 for any other state specific course, EVERYTHING
INCLUDED. I also put together a combination one-day course for six state
permits that get you concealed carry in 40 states for one low flat one-time
fee – so you can do it all in one place all at once.

In the beginning, the idea of paying for insurance to cover my photography gear was at the bottom of my priority list. After all, there are so many other pieces of equipment that I wanted to get my hands on. On an average shooting day, I would have two 5D Mark IIs, two 580EX IIs, 85mm f/1.2L, 35mm f/1.4L, 17-40mm f/4L, a 70-200mm f/2.8L IS and three pocket wizards (not to mention a Macbook Pro when I’m on the road), plus accessories. It’s much more than a sack of electronics – thats my future career on the line. It would only take one brief moment for a thief to take it all away from me.

So i decided to get my equipment insured… Initially, I didn’t really know where to go and I ended up on a photography website which offers a discount on insurance for any member of their website. Other than that, I couldn’t find much information on photography insurance, so I had no choice but to sign up.

Signing up was easy. You login, send in your credit card information and a list of equipment and you would receive an email notification that you were "covered" by some obscure insurance company that you’ve never heard of. And even though I was "technically" insured, I still didn’t have the confidence that I would be safe in case anything happened. It was that sense of uneasiness that got me.

About a year passed by and I finally decided that I was going to switch my automotive insurance over to State Farm because I wanted an insurance company that could cover both my car and my new motorcycle at the same time. Thats when I met my current insurance agent, ThuyVu. The thing that struck me about ThuyVu is that she wasn’t anything like the other insurance agents I’ve dealt with in the past. For one thing, she is one of the top agents in the country.. and on the other hand, she is also an underground house DJ, a classically trained musician, a Tae Kwon Do black belt and does voice-over for video games. FINALLY, I had the chance to work with someone that understood art and how important photography is to me. It didn’t feel l like I was talking to an Insurance Agent as much as it felt like I was talking to a friend. And best of all, she was able to explain my insurance policies with crystal clarity, and fully insure all of my photography gear too.

Job Readiness/ Job Search Classes for welfare recipients- They cost -20 in taxpayer dollars for gas cards and bus passes per recipient.

Section 8 Vouchers- They benefit too few Americans.
